Tasco 110 7x35

Mfr: J-B160, J-E32

Date: circa 1960's

AFOV: ~87.5 degrees

TFOV: ~12.5 degrees, 657 feet at 1000 yards

Eye Relief: 10mm

Prisms: high index

The Tasco Model 110 is a good example of an extra wide angle 7x35.  Although the eye relief is somewhat short, nearly all of it is usable and I find the view to be very pleasing.   This model can be often found at reasonable prices on the used market.  There were several versions of the Tasco 110.  I show three different variations below.  They all seem to have the same optics, with variations in marking and body styling.  The serial (?) numbers do not seem to be a reliable chronological indicator.

Version 1, No. 69000:

This version has the earlier (I believe) upper case Tasco logo and no model marking.  It, however, does appear to be an early version of the Model 110.  Note that the eyecups do not twist.  The layout of the eyepiece, an unusual 1-1-2-1 configuration, is shown on the right.

Version 2, No. 2103

This version has the later lower case logo and the Model No. 110 marking.  Note the ridged twistup eyecups and the focus wheel along the hinge.

Version 3, No. 13738

This version is marked like version 2 and has the twist-up eyecups but has the focus wheel up front as in version 1 (though the focus wheel is longer).
