Jason GlassesOn 7x35Mfr: J-B191 (No J-E mark) Date: circa 1990's AFOV: ~65 degrees TFOV: 9.3 degrees Eye Relief: ~20mm Prisms: high index This is an interesting binocular specifically designed for eyeglass wearers. Note the unusual flat "Eyeglass Guards" on the rubber covered body. It also features excellent eye relief. This binocular has what I would call "pseudo-internal focusing" in that the eyepieces move inside the rubber housing. This design necessitated moving the diopter adjustment to the right objective, which is a more difficult position to use. The moderately wide field is fairly well corrected, though some distortion and lateral color are visible. There is also some light leakage visible in the field. The coatings appear to be ordinary MgFl. This binocular is a good choice if you observe with glasses, but I don't believe that it is available anymore. |
